Boeing Stock Rises after Assembly Workers Approve Contract
The value of stock in Boeing Company has risen today, presumably because on Saturday, November 1st, 27,000 assembly workers voted to approve the company’s four-year contract offer. This move by workers ended an assembly-workers’ strike that stopped production at western Washington Boeing plants for nearly two months.
Turkey Is Proposing to Buy Boeing and Airbus Passenger-Planes
ANKARA, Turkey — Despite the flagging worldwide economy, Turkish Airlines would like to buy 105 airplanes from Boeing and/or Airbus, depending upon the proposals it receives. The company desires delivery by the second half of year 2010. Turkish Airlines’ passenger numbers have increased by 150% within the past four years.
