In the first place, Mr. Hannity, why did you ever think it was OK to use “We’ll put a boot in your ass–it’s the American way…” as the introduction to your radio-show and after nearly each commercial break? I don’t care if the singer is one of your supporters. It AIN’T the “American Way”, and how dare you propound this misconception every time you come on the air? The American Way is traditionally defined as freedom combined with personal responsibility, and opportunity to follow one’s dreams. Your nasty little song-clip is anything but…. It may be a fine refrain (yeah, right) during one of your “Freedom Concerts”, but it doesn’t belong on the radio, especially taken out of the song’s context, whatever that may be. It is absolutely inappropriate on a show that purports to be family-friendly, I mean edifying for youth and grown-ups alike. Congratulations, you now have an R-rated radio show. And for what, precisely? I have never heard the rest of the song nor the singer in any other venue (my husband, who has been on your T.V. show, thinks it is Toby Keith…), and if I’m baffled by this B.S., imagine what people who are anti-American already will think upon hearing it? Food for thought.
